On our recent trip to St. Maarten I was lucky to receive an exclusive tour of the Sonesta Ocean Point Resort. This adults only all inclusive resort is a 5-star luxury property located on Maho Beach. This is the sister resort to the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort – located next door. Guests at the Ocean Point enjoy the option to stay at one, and play at both. However, on the flip side guests at the Maho Beach Resort can’t access the amenities of the Ocean Point Resort.
The Ocean Point Resort is actually quite a small resort with only 130 suites. Some of these suites are swim-out rooms, there are butler suites and also penthouse accommodations. On site there are 2 pools and 2 restaurants that are exclusive to Ocean Point guests. Their gym is also beautiful with wall to wall windows (compared to the dark gym in the Maho Beach building).

Overall, this looks like a fantastic resort to stay at if you’re looking for a quiet adult-only vacation. Note, that the Maho Beach Resort is a family friendly resort. If you do use the Maho amenities, you may encounter (very likely) families with small children running around. Another important fact is that this resort doesn’t have a great beach area if that’s something you’re looking for. The Maho Beach is just a short walk away, but it is public and there are no beach chairs or umbrellas to use. Loved your review and video of Ocean Point Tour. It would be awesome to spend a couple of days here to relax in the blue waters and enjoy the resort amenities. I would take full advantage of the hammocks for an afternoon nap. In addition, I would love to have the room with easy access to the mini lap pool right outside.
